What is Part of speech:-

Words are divided into different kinds or classes called parts of speech.      According to their use and work they do in a sentence.

Parts of speech are the 8 pillars of a sentence or we can say parts of speech are pillars of English grammar.

1) Noun                               5) adverb

2) Adjective                        6) preposition

3) Pronoun                         7) conjunction

4) Verb                                 8) interjection

Noun is a naming word.

Adjective is a describing word.

Pronoun is a word used in place of noun.

Verb is a action word.

Adverb adds meaning to the verb.

Preposition is a relation telling word.

Conjunction is a joining word.

Exclamation/interjection is a word that expresses feelings.
