What is an article?
An article is
a word use to make something clear or definite in a sentence. There are three articles in English. “a” “an” “the”
“a” or “an”
are indefinite articles and “the “ is a definite articles.
Definite Article (the)
The definite article is used to speak about a noun that is
already known, heard or identified.
For Example:
The
ball is on the grass
Here we specify a particular ball line on a particular space
that is grass.
Indefinite article (a)
“a” is used before all words starting with a consonant.
For example:
He
is a boy.
Indefinite article (an)
“an” is used before all word starting with vowel.
For Example:
She has an umbrella.
I want
to see an elephant.
